Parkland College Business Training is an Illinois Association of REALTORS® Licensing & Training Center.
State Licensing Requirements: Those eligible to obtain an Illinois Broker's license must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma (or equivalent), and successfully completed 90 hours of pre-license education (RES 750 & 751). These classes must be taken in consecutive order to complete all 90 required hours. For more licensing information, contact Illinois Association of Realtors at (217) 529-2600.
Broker candidates must also complete 30 hours of Broker post-licensing education (RES 754 & 755) during the pre-renewal period in which the courses are taken.
State Attendance Requirements: Students must attend a minimum of 90% of all course sessions and receive a passing grade on the final course examination in order to qualify for a Uniform Real Estate Transcript. A Uniform Real Estate Transcript is required to take the state examination.
Broker Pre-License Topics |
Fulfill 75 of the required 90 hours of pre-license education with this state approved course taught by Harrison Strange. Course topics include: Illinois real estate license law and rules; Illinois law specific to real estate ownership, rental and transfer; federal law, including fair housing, antitrust and common law.

Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles |
Fulfill 15 of the 90 hours of pre-license education with this state approved course taught by Harrison Strange. This interactive course allows you to: apply what you learned in the 75-hour Broker Pre-License Topics (RES 750); practice dealing with buyers and sellers in a safe environment using the laws and rules reviewed in RES 750; receive useful insight and practical awareness of the proper application of the laws and rules. Prerequisite: RES 750.
