The recipient of this scholarship must be a second year student in Agribusiness, have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 with at least 24 hours at the end of the spring semester.  Should be an enterprising individual with strong background of accomplishments.  An essay of at least 150 words on career and personal goals should be submitted.

Alpha-Care Scholars Program at Parkland
(CNA, LPN and RN)

Alpha-Care Health Professionals home care/relief staff agency will reimburse qualified Parkland students for the tuition cost of the nursing assistant program, contingent upon a commitment of one year of employment with Alpha-Care. To qualify, students must demonstrate a good work ethic, compassion, professionalism, and have excellent grades.

William C. Annin Memorial Scholarship
(Automotive)

Established by Ellen Sullivan in 1985, this award was renamed in memory of Bill Annin, the first coordinator of Parkland's automotive program. Incoming freshmen enrolling full time in the Automotive Program and residing within Parkland College District 505 may apply. Bill Byers Scholarship
(Accounting)

Established by the Accounting faculty and Bill Byers, a retired accounting faculty member, to honor outstanding accounting students. Recipients are selected by the accounting faculty. Student must be a resident of Community College District 505, be enrolled in an accounting curriculum, have completed 25 credit hours, and have a GPA of not less than 2.75, with an A or B in the accounting courses completed. Student must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours including at least 3 credit hours in accounting for the fall semester for which the award is given.

Carle Scholars at Parkland
(Health Careers)

The Carle Foundation offers financial assistance for educational expenses to students enrolled in health careers programs at Parkland.  Students may apply for an initial installment of $2,500 per academic year, and an additional application may be submitted for a total of $5,000.  To qualify, a student must have a cumulative high school or college GPA of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Established by The Greater Champaign County AMBUC's (GCCA), this scholarship will be awarded to a Parkland College student who is currently enrolled in the Occupational Therapy or Respiratory Therapy program, has a total of 31 semester hours, has a GPA of 2.5, and submit a one page essay titled, "How I would benefit from this scholarship financially and otherwise." The Frank & Priscilla Hettler Scholarship

Established in honor of Frank and Priscilla Hettler who dreamed and sacrificed so that each of their six children could achieve a college education.  Recipients will demonstrate financial need, maintain a GPA of 2.5, be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours, and submit a handwritten essay.  Preference will be given to a student from a large family who shows an interest in transferring for a Bachelor degree or higher.

Fran Hill Memorial Scholarship
(Dental Hygiene)

Established in the memory of Fran Hill, a 1983 graduate of the Dental Hygiene program. Recipient shall be a good example to others; have appropriate professional behavior; have a good rapport with patients, fellow students, and instructors: have a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4-point scale; have excellent clinical skills; and be an active member of SADHA over the past two years. Award is presented at the Annual Recognition Tea in May.

Hites Family Endowment Scholarship

Established by The Hites Family Community College Scholarship Foundation, with a Challenge Grant, and the Parkland College Foundation, with proceeds from the annual gala fundraiser, the purpose of this scholarship is to increase the number of community college transfer students who continue their studies at baccalaureate degree-granting colleges or universities.  Criteria for the scholarship include a minimum of 50 semester hours (or equivalent) completed at Parkland at the time of transferring, a cumulative GPA average of 3.5 or better, and acceptance into and enrollment at an accredited four-year institution.

This endowment fund is dedicated to and intended to honor three of Marilyn E. Huckaba's sorority sisters: Barbara Jones Chace, Dorothy Wilson Crownover, and Oradel Nolen Morris. The award is given annually to a graduate of a Champaign County high school who was on his or her high school honor roll, is enrolled at Parkland College and plans to earn an associate degree in any transfer or career program, and who has financial need. The Richard D. Norris Scholarship is a monetary award based on academic criteria as well as the student's involvement in extracurricular activities at Parkland College. The student must have completed at least one semester at Parkland College with a minimum of 8 credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or above. Student must submit a 1000-word essay on "Why Extracurricular Activities are Important to a College Education." For Parkland sophomore who is a resident of District 505, has good academic and character records, is enrolled in either music performance or music education (classical or music appreciation), and a preference will be given to a student that plans to continue at the University of Illinois in the School of Music.

Judi Davis Weatherall Memorial Scholarship
(Nursing)

Established in memory of Judi Davis Weatherall, a former Parkland nursing instructor. Students must be currently enrolled in the nursing curriculum, and have a GPA of 3.5 or above in all completed nursing courses. Consideration is given to students active in SNAP and/or other student organizations and/or is a member of SNAI.

Arthur H. Winakor Memorial Scholarship Award
(Business Administration)

The Accounting Department at Parkland College will select one student enrolled in the Business Administration transfer curriculum. Student must be a resident of Community College District 505, plan to become a Certified Public Accountant, have completed not less than twenty-five hours at Parkland College with a GPA of not less than 3.5 with a grade of A or B in the accounting courses, and be enrolled in 12 credit hours at Parkland for the fall semester when the award is given.

Melissa Bailey Wolfram Memorial Scholarship
(Veterinary Technology Program)

Earl Bailey established this scholarship in honor of his daughter Melissa Bailey Wolfram.  The recipient of this award should be enrolled as either a full-time or part-time student, a resident of the state of Illinois, enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program, have a minimum GPA of 2.75 as a high school graduate or at Parkland College, and have financial need.

Women in Computer Science and Information Technology Scholarship
(Women)

The Women in Computer Science and Information Technology student organization have established this scholarship.  The recipient of this award will be a woman who has completed at least 12 credit hours in the computer science and information technology career program, enrolled either full-time or part-time, a resident of District 505, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, submit a one page essay explaining their ambitions and career goals, and have a letter of recommendation from a Parkland College faculty member.

Women's Scholarships
(Women)

Recipient must be a Parkland College woman student, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA.  Must have completed at least one Parkland semester and have completed or enrolled in HIS 203, HUM121, LIT 142, or PSY 104.  An essay on "Why Women's Studies is Important to My Life" must be submitted also with application.

The Technical and Business Training Center and one representative of the Gayle Wright family will select one or two students who have completed at least 12 credit hours and are enrolled full-time in Parkland's Construction, CAD, Manufacturing, or Electronics program. Recipients must reside in District 505.

William D. Yaxley Memorial Scholarship
(Business Administration Accounting)

Awarded by Nancy Yaxley in memory of Bill Yaxley to a second year full-time student in the Business Administration program or accounting curriculum who is planning to pursue a career in accounting. Student must be a resident of Parkland College District 505, have completed by the end of the spring semester at least 24 credit hours at Parkland College with a GPA of at least 3.0 and with a grade of A or B in all accounting courses, and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the fall semester.
