Help Senior Citizens Learn Computer Skills
Generations of Hope is a foster-care agency that operates out of Rantoul. Each year they find thousands of homes for children in need and create loving and permanent relationships between foster children and parents. Currently, they have many volunteers who are senior citizens, and these volunteers are needing to learn some basic computer skills. Carolyn Casteel, the Director, is looking for Parkland volunteers (faculty, staff, or even students who have basic computer knowledge,) to come in once or twice a week for the next several weeks and teach these skills to the senrior volunteers. She would need volunteers to help for about the next six weeks. If you have knowledge of these skills and are interested in volunteering, please either contact Marsha Reardon at mreardon@parkland.edu, or Carolyn Casteel at contact@generationsofhope.org.
